These past few years have been tumultuous…to say the least. There have been a lot of ups and downs and tough times – physically, emotionally, and financially. This pandemic has taught me a lot. I’ve learned that I have more stamina and mental toughness than I had ever given myself credit for. My husband and I, together, have learned how truly fortunate we have been to live in Florida. We have seen what toll these past few years have taken on our families in Illinois and our friends across the globe. We’ve learned not to take our freedoms for granted – ever. And, we have acknowledged that we need to unplug and take time for ourselves. Time to rest. Time to play. And, perhaps, time to explore other talents and ways to serve our community and the state of Florida.
As I approach my 30th anniversary as a Chiropractic Physician, I can honestly tell you that serving you and caring for you and your family and friends has been one of the greatest pleasures and privileges of my life. So, it is not without sadness that I announce that I will be taking a step back and transferring my practice to Dr. J. Todd Reed.
As of August 13, 2022, Dr. Reed will be taking over ownership and the operations of Fort Myers Chiropractic Studio and the care of most of my patients. Dr. Reed is an excellent Chiropractor, and I am pleased that you will be able to benefit from such skilled, capable, and caring hands. He brings with him cutting-edge knowledge, but the kind of old-fashioned one-on-one approach you’ve come to expect from me.
Over these next few weeks, I will shift to an advisory role to assist Dr. Reed in his transition as clinic owner/director, facilitate introductions, and ensure that your ongoing care is uninterrupted. I will continue to be Fort Myers Chiropractic Studio’s Acupuncturist and I will keep a limited schedule through 2022, and likely throughout 2023 as well. And, should Dr. Reed need me to step in to help out when he takes a vacation, I’ll be available.
Dr. Reed is an experienced Chiropractor and has been in private practice since earning his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1998. For the past 20+ years, he has run his own practice in Hillsboro, Ohio offering Chiropractic Adjustments, Physiotherapies, Sports Medicine, Spinal Decompression, Nutrition, Weight Loss, and Lifestyle Coaching to his patients. He will ensure that your care continues seamlessly, so please do not worry ~ there is nothing additional for you to do beyond keeping to your care plan and scheduled appointments.
He will continue to render quality hands-on physical medicine, and together, we will see to it that your care is uninterrupted and that you and your family are well taken care of. Our goal is for you to reach your health goals and continue to live life at your very best. He will also become the custodian of your records and maintain them at Fort Myers Chiropractic Studio at 12655 New Brittany Blvd. #13W with the same professionalism and confidentiality that you have come to expect from me and my staff.
Lynn will remain with Dr. Reed to serve you with the same expertise, kindness, and humor that she always has. The best part – I won’t be her boss anymore and we will now be able to expand our friendship beyond the workplace.
After some time to breathe, I will no doubt also give my time to the Chiropractic profession I love so much by volunteering with the Florida Chiropractic Society. My hope is that I can continue to inspire young people to seek careers in Chiropractic and to support practicing Chiropractic Physicians here in the state of FL.
I have greatly valued our relationship, and I thank you for your trust, your loyalty, your love, & your friendship over the years (and the years to come). You have molded me into the Physician I am today, and I hope that I have been able to show up for you in the ways that you needed and wanted me to. Additionally, I hope that you have learned as much from me, as I have from you.
My very best wishes for you and your good health, always.
